#1 Way to beat depression!

12/29/2021

David knew depression.

PSA 116:3  The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell gat hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow.

He also knew how to overcome it.

Ever sit down and hold a conversation with yourself?
David did many times,
Here are a few.

Psa_116:7  Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for the LORD hath dealt bountifully with thee.
Psa 116:8  For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.
Psa_116:9  I will walk before the LORD in the land of the living.

David would Command himself.
Here he commands himself to rest!
Command your thoughts and actions. He tells himself "Rest"!  He knows God has dealt bountifully in the past and will also in the predicament he is in now!

Then he prophesies his future in verse 9

Psa_116:9  I will walk before the LORD in the land of the living.

The Hebrew word for before is paniym, paw-neem, means face! I will walk with Gods face on my life!

The best way to beat  depression, is to, in spite of circumstances, command yourself.
Rise up on the inside and command yourself to do what you do not feel like doing.

David does this again!
David tells David!
bless God and don't forget His benefits!

Psa 103:1  A Psalm of David. Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
Psa 103:2  Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
Psa 103:3  Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
Psa 103:4  Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
Psa 103:5  Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.

Speak out this Psalm!
Stop letting your feelings whip you like a defeated pup.
Get to the Word of God.
Command yourself! I WILL...........bless the Lord. I WILL not forget His benefits!

David has a dicussion with himself.
In a dark place.

Psa 42:5  Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.

He asks himself!
Why are you cast down?
Why are you disquieted?(disturbed)
Commands himself!
Hope in God!
I WILL praise Him!

Don't not let your flesh or feelings win the argument!
Then your dark sad days will be over forever!
Command yourself out loud!
Say it!
I will not be cast down!
I will not be disquieted! (disturbed)
I will trust God.
I will hope in Him!
I will remember His benefits
I will praise Him!
I will rest!

Lastly,

1Sa 30:6  And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.

Encouraged himself in the LORD his God.

Don't wait for someone else to encourage you.
That bus may never come!

1.Find the promises.
2.Personalize them. (Speak them out-loud like David!)
3.Encourage yourself.

As you do, The very atmosphere will change! Your life will be transformed!
The Word of God is a seed (Mark 4)
It will produce!

Better than Gold!!!

12/24/2021

The value you set on the Word of God determines the measure that you get out of it.

Mark 4:24  And He said to them, Be careful what you are hearing. The measure [of thought and study] you give [to the truth you hear] will be the measure [of virtue and knowledge] that comes back to you--and more [besides] will be given to you who hear.  (Amplified Bible)

You can measure the value you put on something  by how much attention, desire, craving, thought, study, seeking, pursuing, ect you put to it!

If you treat  Gods Word like a common book and you will get little or nothing out of it.

Treat it like gold, and your life will be transformed!!

It is YOUR Choice!

Why are we wasting our attention, desire, craving, thought, study, seeking, pursuing, ect. on things that don't satisfy, or only give temporal fulfillment?

Isa 55:2  Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.

One Word from God created the universe!

One Word from God to you will transform your life!!!

Isa 55:3  Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.

Today!
Treat the Word as GOLD!

It is FREE, but not without cost!
The cost is you time!!

Isa 55:1  Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.

Gold!

Pro 8:10  Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold.
Pro 8:11  For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.

Just some Benefits(you will find many as you search)!

Pro 8:17  I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.
Pro 8:18  Riches and honour are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness.
Pro 8:19  My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver.
Pro 8:20  I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment:
Pro 8:21  That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.

If you get hold of the Word, the Word will get hold of you!

Pray like David!

Psa 27:11  Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies.

Ask the Holy Spirit to teach you!

Joh 14:26  But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Super Charged Prayers

12/22/2021

The Apostle Paul who wrote 2/3rds of the New Testament and turned the world upside down(or should I say right-side up) knew how to pray! The good news for us is many of his prayers are recorded!

They are the will of God!

And
We can pray them also!
As you pray them you are assured you are praying the perfect will of God, and He will answer them!

1Jn 5:14  And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
1Jn 5:15  And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

Example:
Colossians_1:9 For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;

You can personalize it by making it your prayer for yourself, your family, co workers, something like this:

Father I ask that you would fill me to overflow with the knowledge of your perfect will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding!
In Jesus Name amen!

Simple but powerful!

You can do the same with the next verse!

(Colossians 1:10)  That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

As you do you can have confidence God will begin to fulfill you request because His Word will not return void!

Little Foxes

The Power of Little

(Song of Solomon 2:15) Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: ...
Its little things that destroy bring destruction to a house,

A small leak in a roof can bring on severe and expensive damage.

A small termite.

A frayed wire.

Dont let a little strife, lust, fear, unforgiveness begin to wear away at your spiritual house .

Romans 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you

However, a little worship, prayer, time with God, time in His Word. Will bring transformation to your life (house).

1Co 3:12  (12-13) The quality of materials used by anyone building on this foundation will soon be made apparent, whether it has been built with gold, silver, and costly stones, or wood, hay, and straw. Their work will soon become evident, for the Day will make it clear, because it will be revealed by blazing fire! And the fire will test and prove the workmanship of each builder.

In this Day and Hour we can not neglect the small things.

No compromise.
No excuses.
No Blaming others.

Get into the Word, Get in Fellowship with the Father through Jesus Christ.

The power to live life the way GOD intended!

There are many listed in catagories on this website!

Heb 6:12  That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

The Greek word for followers is imitators.

In the Bible are many examples of men and women who against all odds stood on Gods promises and received, freedom, health, victory, deliverence.

Read Hebrews  Chapter 11.

Heb 11:33  who through faith overcame kingdoms, worked out righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,
Heb 11:34  quenched the power of fire, escaped the mouths of the sword, acquired power from weakness, became strong in war; made armies of foreigners to yield.

If you have received Christ, you have been given promises.

Search for them like Gold!

Psa 119:162  I rejoice at thy word, as one that findeth great spoil.

Hear The Music!!!!!

2/15/2015

The things of God can seem foolish to people who never experienced Him.

1Co 2:14  But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

This scripture reminds me of something someone once said.
"Those who dance are considered insane by those who cannot hear the music."
I went to a wedding reception once were they did the "chicken dance".   With or with out hearing the music it was definitely "foolish" looking, but those who joined in flapping their wings and clucking, and prancing around, were definitely having a great time!!

The things of God go against "conventional wisdom", for instance:

To get, we must give!
To be exalted, we humble our selves.
To live, we die to ourselves.
Love you enemies.
If you want to be great, be a servant of all.
Do good to those who hate you.
The first will be last, and the last first.
Be thankful in all things.

Paul states this next!

1Co 1:25  Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men;

also:

1Co 1:27  But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

Unless you can "Hear the music" the Gospel will seem foolish.

1Co 3:19  For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God...

The King was born in a stable,
The King rode in on a Donkey,
The King died naked on the cross,
Foolishness to the "wise",
Hidden from the "noble",

The King Rose from the dead,
The King shall return on a White Horse,
The King of Kings! Clothed in white,
The King will Create a new Heaven and Earth,
The King will Rule forever with those who receive Him.

"Hear the music", follow Him.

He Heard You!

2/8/2015

God heard you when you prayed.
The prayer did not go unheard or unnoticed!
You may have forgotten , but God wrote it in a book!
Every thought you have of Him it is recorded!

Mal 3:16  Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.

He even Heard you BEFORE you prayed!

Isa 65:24  And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

Psa 145:18  The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.
Psa 145:19  He will fulfill the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them.

Settle it.
God hears you.
Trust Him and you will not be disappointed!
Its not complicated.

David said it like this.

Psa 18:6  In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.

David had this testimony!

Psa 34:6  This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.

Wow that could be you!
Right?

Psa 34:17  The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.
(note)
The Blood of Jesus makes you righteous, not your works.
2Co 5:21  For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

This promise is for you!

Not only did He hear you, but will answer!

Isa 58:9  Then shalt thou call, and the LORD shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. ..

and

Psa 91:15  He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.

According to His will,

1Jn 5:14  And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
1Jn 5:15  And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

The will of God is found in His promises!

Find the promises, you have found His will.

Start digging. There are thousands!
Probably hundreds that concern you now!
Thousands , listed on this website!

I agree with David,

Psa 8:3  When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;

Life Changed for ever!!!!

Receive These Promises Today!

Of the thousands of promises, this is the main course.

Think on these.

The next verse Tells us what to do.

2Co 7:1  Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

The Fear of God =
Giving God proper respect and honor for who He is.

Heb 12:1  Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

Php 3:13  Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
Php 3:14  I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Get ready to experience a walk with God!
Draw nigh to God he will draw nigh to you. (James 4:8)

5 Great Promises For Your children!!!

1/25/2015

God created family!

He has gave many powerful promises concerning our children!

Here are 5,

Number 1:

Jer 32:38  And they shall be my people, and I will be their God:
Jer 32:39  And I will give them one heart, and one way, that they may fear me for ever, for the good of them, and of their children after them:
Jer 32:40  And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me.

Of course the word "fear" in this sense, is not to be afraid, but, to reverence God. Proper respect to God for who He is!

He is a "family God".

The God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, who were father, son, grandson!

Yes your children have "freewill". Yet God knows how to bring them in.
The devil blinds, but  God can open your childrens eyes.
Stand on the promises!

Number 2:

Isa 59:21  As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the LORD; My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed's seed, saith the LORD, from henceforth and for ever.

This is a good one for grandchildren too!

Number 3:

Act 2:38  Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Act 2:39  For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

Number 4:

Isa 44:3  For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring:
Isa 44:4  And they shall spring up as among the grass, as willows by the water courses.

Not only will he save them, He will bless them!!!

Number 5:

Psa 112:2  His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.

Gods Tattoo

1/18/2015

God has you in His thoughts and mind!
You are tattoo'd permanently His Hands!
His hands! The most obvious spot to be remembered.

Isa 49:15  Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.
Isa 49:16  Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands

We can also measure intimacy on how often a person thinks and cares for another.

Psa 139:17  How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!
Psa 139:18  If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.

Some one figured it out! (aproximately) 700,500,000,000,000,000,000 grains of sand on earth
(or seven quintillion five quadrillion) in the worlds beaches, not including the sand in deserts, or childrens play boxes!

He knows us inside and out!

Psa 139:1  A Psalm of David. O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known me.
Psa 139:2  Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.
Psa 139:3  Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.
Psa 139:4  For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether.

Yet His thoughts towards us are good thoughts!

Jer 29:11  For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

Protected!

Rom 8:38  For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Rom 8:39  Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Everlasting!

John 13:1  Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.

No Matter our condition!

Psa 40:17  But I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinketh upon me: thou art my help and my deliverer;

He loved us when we didn't care two red cents for him.

Rom 5:8  But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Eph 2:4  But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
Eph 2:5  Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

We can and should return the same to Him!

1Jn 4:19  We love him, because he first loved us.

Pay it forward to others!

1Jn 4:11  Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
1Jn 3:11  For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
John 15:12  This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

Isa 49:16  Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands
